Riding Horse Corral

Meet Our Adoptable Riding Horses

Giddy-up! Welcome to our Riding Horse Corral!
Horses in this corral are all rideable, and have varying levels of experience under saddle. Some are suitable for beginners, while some are more suitable for advanced riders.

Aulina

Arabian Mare

As of 2024, Aulina is 20 years old. Alina is a sweet-natured Arabian mare who experienced abuse and neglect and was abandoned at a farm. A kind-hearted person helped put her on the road to health by providing much-needed basic care until HAHS could step in and take over her welfare. Aulina is undergoing training to become an ambassador in our education programs and is looking for an Adopt-A-Hoof sponsor to help her recover and live up to her full potential as an ambassador.

Bee

Grade Mare

As of 2024, Bee is 13 years old. She is a gaited mare with an outgoing and friendly personality who thinks everyone wants to be her best friend. She greets everyone on the fence and likes to keep all the people's attention to herself. She has been pastured with mares and geldings and gets along with them well. Due to a previous abuse and neglect situation where she was starved, she thinks everyone's grain should be hers. Bee is training to become a HAHS ambassador in our horsemanship and education programs. Bee is looking for an Adopt-A-Hoof sponsor to help her as an ambassador for abused and neglected horses.

Darla

Grade Mare

As of 2024, Darla is 21 years old. She is a grade sorrel mare with a striking blaze. She has never met a stranger and loves to soak up your attention. Darla came to HAHS through an abuse and neglect situation where she was starved. You would never know that she was a walking skeleton when she arrived because she has gained weight and muscle. She is actively used to help educate the public about horse care, basic horsemanship, and riding skills. Darla is looking for an Adopt-A-Hoof sponsor that will help her fulfill her ambassador duties and prevent other horses from enduring situations similar to those she experienced in her past.

Saddlebred Mare

As of 2024, Dove is a 17 year old Palomino Saddlebred mare. She stands approximately 16 H and is a stunning mover. She loves to greet volunteers, tours, and guests at the fence. Staff and volunteers are working with her on groundwork skills, and she is a fast learner. Dove is ridable; she tends to move quickly when you begin your ride and settles into the work. She is best for an advanced intermediate rider willing to spend some time getting her back up to her full riding potential. She enjoys being groomed and nickers at you for attention.

Elvis

Hackney Type Pony Gelding

As of 2024, Elvis is a Hackney-type pony that is 15 years old. He can be sensitive and shy at first. At one point, he was a kid's horse; however, it has been some time since he was worked with on a regular basis. Currently, Elvis is in foster care to brush up on his skills. Due to a lack of recent handling, he requires an intermediate rider. He is a nice mover and will be an excellent horse for someone who has the patience and skills to get him going again.

Lace

Palomino Paint Mare

As of 202, Lace is ten years old. She is a registered Palomino Overo Paint mare with one beautiful blue eye. Lace came to HAHS with five other paint mares when their owner passed away. At first, she was very shy but has blossomed during her time here at HAHS. She will now come to you in the field and stand for grooming and blanketing. She has just begun her training under saddle; therefore, we recommend a home with an experienced rider or someone willing to work with a trainer to help Lace develop her riding skills.

Moonlight

Paint Mare

As of 2024, Moonlight is 13 years old. She is a registered Chestnut Overo Paint mare with a sweet disposition and a good mind. Prior to coming to HAHS, she had not been handled much. She has shown remarkable progress, and we are delighted with her willingness to work. She tries hard to please her handlers and riders. She has been started under saddle and is doing extremely well, very quickly. She stands for the vet and farrier, can be blanketed, and loads in the trailer. We recommend an advanced rider or someone willing to work with a trainer.

Pippi Longstocking

Quarab Mare

As of 2024, Pippi Longstocking is 19 years old and stands 14.3H. Pippi is an athletic, forward mare who bonds well with people and other horses. She has been ridden both English and Western and knows all of the Pirelli Seven Horse Games. She needs some help learning to stand in crossties. She would do great with an advanced rider because she is a forward-thinking mare. With some dedicated one-on-one attention, we think this mare would be a fantastic riding horse.

Shadow

AQHA Quarter Horse Gelding

As of 2024, Shadow is 17 years old. He is a registered Quarter Horse that stands approximately 15.2H. Shadow is a handsome horse that is ready to find his next riding partner. This is your guy if you are looking for a horse with trail riding experience. He happily grazes and plays gelding games when busy with his horse friends. When he is alone, he will crib, so it would be ideal for him to have a home with another horse friend.
