Our blanket laundry service is now accepting drop-offs Monday–Friday from 10 am – 4 pm.

Blanket Washing

All blankets are washed with high-quality Rug Wash, Nikwax, which is specially formulated to aid water repellency and increase breathability for horse blankets. Nikwax also revitalizes insulation within the blanket to keep your animal warmer and drier.

Blanket Waterproofing

All blankets are waterproofed with high-quality Rug Proof from Nikwax, specially formulated to aid water repellency and increase breathability for horse blankets. Nikwax also revitalizes insulation within the blanket to keep your animals warmer and drier.

Pick up and drop off service

HAHS now offers pickup and drop-off service for barns within 45 miles of the farm at 10804 McConnell Rd in Woodstock, Illinois. Please fill out the form below or call at 815-337-5563.

Blankets must be labeled for each owner and in garbage bags.

20 blanket minimum.

$35 additional fee each way.

If payment is not received before your drop off date, you will need to pick up your blankets at the farm or pay an additional $35 for a second trip to deliver.

For biosecurity purposes, HAHS employees will not enter the barn premises. Blankets are to be picked up in the facility’s parking lot.

Coolers (non-wool): $18 each

Please note that if you drop off blankets that are heavily soiled, we may have to run your blankets through the machine multiple times.

If this is the case, there will be a $5.00 surcharge per blanket.

To avoid this charge, please ensure your blankets are free of excessive mud and dirt buildup, manure, and other substances.

Not all wool is machine washable. Please check with the products’ manufacturer to ensure it will not shrink in warm water.

Will you be utilizing our pick up and drop off service?

Once my blankets are ready for pick up, HAHS will contact me one time via phone to confirm pickup. I understand that I have 60 days from that date to pick up my blankets. Otherwise, they become the property of HAHS and will be considered a donation to the organization.

Do you wash items other than blankets?

We currently accept lightweight blankets, mediumweight blankets, heavyweight blankets, hoods, non-wool coolers, fly sheets, English saddle pads and shipping boots.

What is the turnaround time?

Turnaround time is typically 2-3 weeks.

When can I pick up & drop off my blankets?

Blanket drop off and pickup times are as follows:

Monday 10:00-7:00

Tuesday 10:00-3:00

Wednesday 10:00-3:00

Thursday 10:00-7:00
