About Julie Goodnight

Julie Goodnight is an internationally renowned horse trainer, clinician, and educator known for her thoughtful, classical approach to horsemanship and her ability to build strong, trusting partnerships between horses and humans. A rare multi-discipline professional, Julie has trained extensively in both English and western disciplines and across many breeds, earning a reputation for her exceptional feel for horses and her gift for teaching people.

Julie is best known as the longtime host and creator of Horse Master with Julie Goodnight, which aired for 11 years on RFD-TV with more than 260 episodes. She is a frequent contributor to Horse & Rider and other leading equine publications, hosts the popular Ride On with Julie Goodnight podcast, and provides education worldwide through her clinics and online training academy. She was named an Exceptional Equestrian Educator by Equine Affaire—an honor awarded to only three professionals to date—and holds the highest certification, Master Clinic Instructor, with the Certified Horsemanship Association.

HAHS is thrilled to welcome Julie Goodnight for a special speaking engagement on October 22, followed by an exclusive riding clinic limited to 10 daily participants on October 23 and 24th. Her visit offers a unique opportunity to learn from one of the most respected and inspiring voices in modern horsemanship.

Join internationally renowned trainer and clinician Julie Goodnight for an inspiring evening seminar on classical horsemanship, the horse–human relationship, and effective, compassionate training. This special presentation is open to horse lovers of all experience levels.

Enhance your visit with a special Meet & Greet experience with Julie Goodnight, available in very limited quantity. This exclusive package offers guests the opportunity to enjoy a more personal connection with Julie through a private meet-and-greet session, including time for conversation and photos. Designed for dedicated horse enthusiasts and supporters of Hooved Animal Humane Society, this intimate gathering provides a rare chance to connect one-on-one with one of the most respected voices in modern horsemanship while directly supporting HAHS’s rescue and rehabilitation mission.

PARKING: Guests should park in Parking Lot B. The Luecht Auditorium is close to this entrance.

MISCELLANEOUS: Vending machines will be on site if you need to purchase something to drink

Partnership in Practice: A Julie Goodnight Master Clinic – Friday, October 23rd and Saturday, October 24th

A select group of riders can take part in a truly VIP riding experience with Julie Goodnight on Friday, October 23 and/or Saturday, October 24th at Diamond Acres, the training facility of our longtime partner, Jodi Funk. Limited to just 10 riders each day, this exclusive clinic offers an exceptional level of personalized instruction from one of the world’s most respected horse trainers and educators. Participants will receive focused, hands-on coaching designed to deepen communication, confidence, and partnership with their horses, grounded in Julie’s classical, compassionate approach to horsemanship. A limited number of auditor passes (20 total per day) will also be available for those who wish to observe and learn in an intimate setting. Trailer parking with tie options and/or day stabling options will be arranged by working directly with the participants.

Clinic Structure:  10 participants each day, organized into two groups of five riders. (Participants can choose to ride in one or both clinic day experiences)

  • Morning: Group A rides for 2 hours, Group B rides for 2 hours
  • Lunch break
  • Afternoon: Group A rides for 2 hours, Group B rides for 2 hours

Arrival: 7:00 AM

Clinic: Begins at 8:30 AM

Clinic: $450 per day

Auditor: $25 per day
