About Emmie

Emmie is a sweet and inquisitive mare who is currently undergoing rehabilitation with the HAHS staff. While her history is unknown, it’s clear that Emmie has faced some hardship—she bears signs of an old facial injury, possibly a broken jaw, which has left her with a permanently droopy lip.

Despite this, Emmie’s spirit remains unshaken. She greets each day with curiosity and a gentle demeanor, often watching staff intently as they move about the barn, as if trying to figure out what’s next. Emmie is already showing signs of progress in her recovery and is responding well to kind, consistent care. Her unique appearance only adds to her charm, and she has quickly become a barn favorite.

We’re taking things slow to ensure she’s comfortable and healing well, both physically and emotionally. We’re hopeful for her future and will provide updates as she moves forward. Follow her journey here or on our social media channels.
