The Adoption Process

If you are interested in fostering or adopting a horse or hooved animal, please read the criteria and fill out an application. You can download the PDF and mail it to us or complete an online application.

We will follow up as quickly as possible to answer your questions and schedule a time for you to meet the animal. As part of the adoption process, we run a background check and follow up on vet and farrier references (if applicable).

Criteria & requirements

To help ensure that you and your new hooved friend live happily ever after we look for the following criteria:

  • Adopter should be 18 years of age or older
  • Have a barn or lean-to in order to provide shelter
  • Provide clean and adequate water and food
  • Provide regular vet, farrier, and dental care
  • Have adequate fencing
  • Intend for this to be the animals forever home
