Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome – Dr. Kathryn Golden

Causes - Diagnosis - Prevention - Treatment - EGUS

August is Gastric Ulcer Awareness Month. It is estimated that between 50-90% of horses (including feral or wild horses) may be affected by Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome (EGUS). It does not seem to matter whether they are performance or show horses, or backyard or pasture pals. So what can horse owners do to mitigate the chances of their horse being affected by ulcers?

Dr. Kathryn Golden from Northern Lakes Equine Practice joined the Hooved Animal Humane Society to discuss the causes, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of EGUS.

Memorial and Honorarium Gifts

Gifts of any amount can be made in memory of, or honor of, a loved one. Memorials are a meaningful way to remember a loved one who has passed away.

Honorariums are a meaningful way to recognize a special friend, colleague, or loved one on an anniversary, birthday, or other special occasion.

One of the most unique and impactful ways to honor a loved one is to establish a lasting tribute by building a barn or arena. For more information on this exclusive opportunity, its profound impact on rescue animals, and our work to promote humane treatment, click here to send us an email.
